The Hobe Sound Animal Protection League is totally committed to the humane care and rehabilitation of homeless cats in our county. An area has been set aside to house unwanted cats. There is an indoor area and a sheltered outdoor campground area where cats live in comfort, year-round. These cats are spayed/neutered and given all necessary shots and are socialized to make them available for adoption.
This area is the indoor area. It contains 3 indoor kennels with cat doors leading to the 3 screened in patios.

The "Campgrounds" are a unique combination of hideaway condo-like buildings that offer safety, security and privacy for each and every resident. All sections are built with security and comfort in mind. These secure areas prevent the cats from escaping (but WHY would they?) and uninvited "guests" from entering. The cats that have at this Sanctuary have enjoyed the freedom to roam within its boundaries and many have regained their trust in human contact and interaction. Our Sanctuary is maintained and managed by Jim and Pam Walker, who live on the grounds known as The Caring Fields. These two individuals have dedicated their lives to providing ultimate care and comfort to all who live here.
This is a view of a portion of campground one. Each campground is enclosed by a wire fence that keeps the cats in and other critters out. In each campground is a feed room and several condos for the cats to sleep in. The above photo shows 2 of the condos in campground one.
This is a photo of one of the feed rooms located in campground two. Each feed room has a sink, fans, cat beds, and storage areas that house the food for that area.
