Hobe Sound Animal Protection League
PARTY IN PARADISE
Raises over $17,000!!!
Hobe Sound Animal Protection League (HSAPL) is happy to announce their
Party in Paradise fundraiser which was held on Sunday, March 22nd at
the private island home of Nephele and Tom Domencich in Sewalls Point
was a huge success. Nephele Domencich, a board member of HSAPL, was
gracious enough to offer her home for a lavish party to benefit HSAPL.
A live band playing island music, tropical drinks and a vast array of
delectable gourmet treats was offered. Hobe Sound Animal Protection
League paid special tribute to Chris Farrell of Channel 12 News for his
help with getting animals adopted and spreading awareness of HSAPL's
mission and special events. With over 125 people in attendance they
raised over $17,000.Master of Ceremonies, Bob Castellano,
invited guests attending Party in Paradise to take part in the
"Spay/Neuter Challenge". Guests were challenged to cover the costs for
as many spay/neuter clinics as possible by purchasing a paw print
sticker for $500 and placing it on a calendar date significant to
them. Those who sponsor a spay/neuter clinic will receive a special
certificate commemorating their donation. They will also be listed on
the program at HSAPL's annual Paws for a Cause Fundraiser on November
14th, but mostly, they will have the satisfaction in knowing that their
contribution had a direct and powerful impact toward reducing the
population of unwanted pets in their own community. The spay/neuter
challenge is an ongoing initiative and HSAPL welcome donations from
individuals and corporations who want to take part.
